Open Sandy - 2014 Parte I

PT: Existe um ditado popular que diz: não deves voltar aos
lugares onde foste feliz. Mas se a felicidade dependesse dos sorrisos como os
que partilhamos neste fim de semana, das boas ondas surfadas, da cumplicidade,
da entreajuda e da alegria simples, então quero voltar para o ano que vêm,
quero voltar sempre que puder.
Durante esses três dias que marcaram o Open Sandy de 2014, em homenagem ao nosso amigo e surfista falecido Boina, reinou um ambiente de camaradagem, boa vibe, um sentimento de aconchego debaixo do sol escaldante de sandy beach, que deixaram uma infinidade de boas emoções e lembranças.
O evento foi marcado pelo momento emocionante da homenagem ao nosso amigo, quando todos nos juntamos e lhe prestamos respeito.
Competitivamente falando os heats foram bem disputados, colocando frente a frente alguns dos suspeitos do costume, Nuno, Jason, Esquema, Augusto, Dany, no bodyboard bem como no surf entre Kabungo e o participante pela primeira vez, Amilcar Duarte da ilha do Sal. Em termos de ondas considera-se que estiveram boas, mas com períodos em que as ondas não estiveram no seu melhor. No entanto os atletas deram o melhor de si, e trilharam o caminho até a final tendo o Edsom (kabungo) superado o companheiro do Tarrafal Kevyn e sagrado campeão do Open Sandy na modalidade Surf.
No bodyboard sub 18, estiveram na final Álvaro, Diego, Dany, e KuKau, tendo o atleta Álvaro superado os concorrente e arrebatado o título.
No bodyboard Senior os Heats foram acessos e levaram à final os Bodyboarders Jason e Esquema, tendo Jason conseguido o primeiro título do Open Sandy um troféu que faltava a esse talentoso bodyboarder nacional.

But if happiness depended on smiles as we shared this weekend, good waves ridden, complicity, mutual aid and the simple joy, then I want to come back in the years coming, I want to come back whenever I can.
During these three days that marked the Open Sandy 2014, in honor of our late friend and surfer Boina, reigned an atmosphere of companionship, good vibe, a feeling of warmth beneath the scorching sun of the sandy beach that left a plethora of good emotions and memories.
The event was marked by exciting tribute to our friend at the moment we all got together and paid him respect.
Competitively speaking the heats were well played, putting face to face some of the usual suspects, Nuno, Jason, Esquema, Augusto, Dany, in bodyboarding as well as in surfing between Kabungo and the first participant, Amilcar Duarte from the island of Sal.
In terms of waves it is considered that they were good, but with periods when the waves were not at their best.
However athletes gave their best, and walked the path to the final, having Edsom (Kabungo) surpassed his fellow from Tarrafal Kevyn, and sacred the champion of the Open Sandy in Surf mode.
In bodyboarding under 18, there were in the final Alvaro Diego, Dany, and KuKau, having the athlete Alvaro surpassed the competitors and snatched the title.
In the Senior bodyboard the Heats were hits and led to the end the Bodyboarders Jason and Esquema, having Jason achieved the first title of the Open Sandy, a trophy that was missing to this talented national bodyboarder.
A big thank you to all who attended, for the energy shared by friendship, a unique experience that we are beginning to wait for the next edition.
